Welding Rotators

Optimise Welding Efficiency

With multiple practical use cases, welding rotators provide an enhanced level of productivity and efficiency for your welding operations, ensuring a high-quality performance and optimal end results.

Long-term cost savings

Investing in a welding rotator eliminates the ongoing price of machinery rental costs while providing a long-term solution for your welding operation requirements. With an in-house rotator, you’ll be equipped to streamline operations, reduce any outsourcing expenses and improve cost efficiency over time.

Maximised quality

With controlled rotation speeds and fixed positioning, welding rotators ensure consistent, high-quality welds that adhere to key parameters. Elevated prevision results in minimised rework, reduced defects and ensures compliance with industry standards for critical structures such as pressure vessels and pipelines.

Improved welder safety

Welding rotators minimise the manual handling of heavy workpieces, and so reduce the risk of accidents in the workplace. Fewer injuries mean fewer absent operators, retaining a high level of productivity for your ongoing operations.

Choosing the Right Welding Equipment For Your Needs

Selecting the right welding rotator to purchase is essential to ensure the quality and safety of your welding operations. The best choice of machinery for your business will depend on several key factors, including load capacity, dimensions and tilt angle.

Both machines can offer unique advantages depending on your project deliverables and welding rotation operations. If you’re unsure of which is the right choice for you, contact our experts for support and we’ll be happy to discuss potential options with you.

Conventional Welding Rotators

  • Best suited for large, heavy-duty weld operations, involving larger vessels or tanks with thicker walls.
  • Can accommodate loads of up to 2,000 tonnes.
  • Ideal for consistent workpieces, where the same dimensions are often used.
  • Require operators to manually align the wheel bracket and wheels.
  • Often used in wind tower engineering, pressure vessels and large-scale projects.

Frequently Asked Questions

Welding Rotators by Redrock

How can welding rotators benefit your processes?

With the use of welding rotators, you’ll benefit from a wide range of advantages, including:

  • Less material handling.
  • Reduced welder fatigue.
  • Increased productivity.
  • Enhanced safety.
  • Stable rotational speed with reliable grip of any cylindrical vessel.
  • Consistently high-quality welds.

Why choose conventional welding rotators?

Conventional rotators are ideal for performing both industrial welding and fitting out operations involving smaller or larger diameter vessels with longer length sections which sometimes require enhanced turning capacity.

Redrock’s conventional rotators for sale are suitable for industrial applications requiring a higher capacity of up to 2,000 tonnes. Our conventional rotators are suited to a wide range of fabrication shop setups. The wheel centre diameters can be adjusted manually with speed. All our welding rotators use replaceable polyurethane tyres, mounted to cast steel drums to give the units durability and superior traction.

Why choose a self-aligning welding rotator?

Self-aligning rotators are suited to multiple applications including boilers, tanks, heat exchangers, barrels and pressure vessels.

Redrock’s self-aligning rotators are robustly built with capacities of up to 1,000 tonnes. Our self-aligning drive units are fitted with dual-sided motorised wheels and idling units allowing free-wheeling, making it easier to load vessels onto the rotator without damaging the drive unit.

Our self-aligning rotators utilise roller modules that adjust to accommodate the diameter automatically. A range of specifications can be accommodated, including various diameters and rotation speeds.

Why are Redrock welding rotators the right choice for you?

Our various models are well-suited for different weight capacities, including 2,000 tonne conventional welding rotators and up to 1,000 tonne self-aligning welding rotators. We offer numerous features and customisation options to provide the best possible result and weld quality with the purchase of any of our machines.
